Natural skincare: cleansing.
I have never had great skin, and unfortunately I still don't. But all the cleansers, creams and toners that I've tried in the past didn't make any difference for my skin. I still use a few products such as a day cream with spf, a scrub and a serum when I need them. But for the purpose of cleansing my skin I use three natural 'products' now.

The ethics of food.
Earth week seems an appropriate time to focus on sustainability. In this case sustainability of our food. A few months back I read a tiny piece in the newspaper that made me think about where our food comes from. Most of my food comes from the supermarket. And whilst I prefer free range eggs to others, there's so much more to the food supply chain then we all think about whilst food shopping. Are we harming our planet and other people by consuming certain products?

Easy Peasy Recipe: avocado mash up.
I've been having avocado a few times lately. Then my sister gave me a tip to make it a bit more substantial. Whilst it isn't the most attractive looking, it makes for a good lunch!

Make nail varnish dry quicker.
I am always clumsy when it comes to freshly painted nails. the varnish is usually damaged before it has even dried up properly. A good top coat should be of help here, but I don't have a good one. So apart from having the patience of a saint, here's what I do in my pursuit for smoothly polished nails.

Easter nails: a chick and polka dots.
When A. and I were painting our nails together, we were looking at some colour combinations. But when I pointed out that my yellow varnish was very Easter like, she said that I could paint eyes an a beak on it so it looks like a chick. And so I did!
