Favourite foundation.

If you know my make up habits a little, you'll know that I'm not a fan of foundation. I barely use it because it looks far from natural and it's never the right colour. That changed somewhat this autumn as I have discovered a foundation that I truly like!

German drugstore haul.

So my sisters and I made another quick trip across the border and went to DM in Germany. I didn't really need anything, but it's always nice to try a few new things!

Five pressed powders.

As summer arrived, my face has gotten a bit more shiny too. I usually don't wear foundation, but a bit of powder is often a good idea. So I'd like to show you the pressed powders I've got before using them any further!

A skin saviour.

When it comes to skincare, I only use very few product. Unless I need to take my make up off, I'll only use water to wash my face because I don't find skincare product add any value. Lately however, I've rediscovered a product that I've been using on and off for several years. This is Rivella's Derma Repair Complex. It's done my skin a world of good!

A foundation light enough.

It's always a struggle to find a foundation that matches your skintone, but if you're on a budget and live in Belgium, things are even worse. Drugstores or brands seem to think we're all rather tan, since they don't sell their lightest shades here. But then MUA became available here too and there's foundation light enough for me in it's range: the Undress Your Skin Illuminating Foundation in the shade porcelain.

The wintertime DIY: Bath melts.

So in the previous blogpost I mentioned how I got inspired to do this DIY whilst I was bathing. I usually shower, but when I do bathe I often take a glass of milk with a few drops of some essential oil with me. The milk helps to spread the oil in the water and conditions the skin. But on Saturday I added a bit of coconut oil to the mix for extra soft skin, and it worked like a charm! I'd seen bath melt DIY's before, and I came up with my very own recipe! So I made a small batch of bath melts, tested one and love them!

The ghassoul clay mask.

Somewhere in September, my friend E. gave me an early birthday present. She knows I'm into natural skincare so she gave me a pack of ghassoul clay. Awesome, thank you E.!

Fighting acne.

Ever since puberty kicked in, I've been having acne. As I got older it has cleared up somewhat, but it has never completely disappeared. In the past year or so it has gotten better! So here's some advise on how you can fight acne!

Natural skincare: cleansing.

I have never had great skin, and unfortunately I still don't. But all the cleansers, creams and toners that I've tried in the past didn't make any difference for my skin. I still use a few products such as a day cream with spf, a scrub and a serum when I need them. But for the purpose of cleansing my skin I use three natural 'products' now.

Nivea Sensitive Day Cream.

About two weeks ago I was in search - online that is - of a decent day cream that would protect my skin from UV-rays. I came across the Nivea sensitive day cream with spf 15. Now I know that spf 15 isn't all that much, but I figured it would be better than not wearing sunscreen at all.

I decided to give this cream a go so a few days later I picked it up.

Green clay mask: attempt number two.

A little while ago I wrote about the green clay powder that I'd bought and how I mad a face mask with it. That first attempt hadn't worked out well, but my second one did! I first did this with a friend and it worked great for the both of us. The photos are from the second time that I did the same thing by myself.
Here's the 'recipe':

Green clay mask: attempt number one.

Once upon a day, I was browsing through a drugstore and I stumbled upon a green clay mask. But right next to it, there was a little tub of pure green clay. I've been enjoying mixing up my own products lately, and the tub of powder was cheaper than the the clay-mask-in-a-tube, so I got this instead.
I was eager to give it a try , so that's what I did the next day and here's how it went:
